Customer Reviews

The hike was great, Nompilo our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable on the history of the area and hike route itself. We were really impressed by the info she shared with us, and the scenery was stunning. - Smangele

Dear Sir/Madam This has been one the best experience we have been on yet. After our previous booking at the mangroves, we decided to pick another one of your great adventures. We were not wrong, overall you just keep getting better and better. The most noticeable point to make is that the staff were so well informed and friendly. I must commend the management for having such a wonderful staff. I think people need to be made aware of the greatness KZN has to offer and more needs to be done marketing yourselves via social media as this is the new method of communication and awareness. Overall 10/10 - Samashen

We really enjoyed the guided hiking trip. Our guides were very knowledgable about the animals and plants. If anything, next time I would probably book a longer hike. - Markus

I enjoyed the hike. Our guide was very informed about te surrounding environment, plants and animals. We were kept quite entertained by his stories about the areas tales and history. My only complaint is the length of the hike. We walked a total of 5km at R100 per person. Others that o have no complaints. - Kwazi

It was indeed sad to see the litter on Umzinyathi Falls and that the sand mining of the local community had undermined tourist infrastructure to destroy a tourist pathway that ultimately will be of benefit to them. Local councilors and Tribal leaders in this area particularly need to participate more with their communities, to preserve these extremely important assets and all other local assets. Those builders are traceable and need to be brought to book to reinstate those concrete paths at their cost. Our hike leader and our hike on the other hand were quite superb. First our hike leader would fit in easily in international hike scenario, any where in the world and more needs to be done with the international community and tourists to invite them to hike in this eNanda Hiking Experience. Secondly this trail is of international standard. The visit to the Rasta cave is both interesting, and informative when the residents are present. Our guide too was most helpful. The hike to the base of the falls is awesome and perhaps the climbing route down the side of the falls needs also to utilized. The pathway already exists. The hike along the river is world class and the return up to the escarpment a wonderful slog to prepare appetites for the final visit to the eNanda Dam Tourist center where a hot meal and hot and cold drinks are available. This center is perfectly located alongside the Dam and a great place to chill out after a great hiking experience. So this was a fabulous hiking experience and one that I am sure that international tourists will enjoy. We look forward to again hiking in this area to discover other interesting trails and aspects of the local community here. All of our hikers have enjoyed this experience!!! - Amblers
